LinkedIn Marketing for B2B Companies in Riyadh
- Build the company page and one or two genuine executive voices before paying for reach.
- Target by company, job function and seniority, and use your own account lists through Matched Audiences.
- Pair the Insight Tag with the Conversions API so qualified leads and deals, not form fills, feed optimisation.
- Choose Arabic or English per audience, and judge campaigns by qualified pipeline in your CRM.
LinkedIn is where a Riyadh B2B company can put its name in front of the people who sign, approve and influence a purchase, from operations and IT to procurement and finance. It can also absorb a budget in clicks that never become meetings. This guide covers the parts that decide the outcome, from the company page to pipeline reporting.
How big is the audience, and what the number means
DataReportal's Digital 2026 Saudi Arabia report puts LinkedIn at 12.0 million "members" in Saudi Arabia in late 2025, equal to 48.0% of the population aged 18 and over, with an adult audience that was 75.3% male and 24.7% female. DataReportal notes that LinkedIn's advertising tools report total registered members, not monthly active users, so the number is not directly comparable with other platforms and does not tell you how many people log in. Treat it as a ceiling and size your real audience in Campaign Manager.
The company page and the people behind it
Get the page right first
Ads, forms and employee posts all point back to your LinkedIn Page. LinkedIn's page best practices are basic: complete every section, add more than one super admin so you do not lose access when someone leaves, and review post analytics by post type. For a bilingual audience, you can add supported languages to the page and enter the name, tagline and description in Arabic. LinkedIn does not auto-translate these fields; members see the version matching their profile language, and everyone else sees your default language. A language cannot be removed once added, so decide deliberately.
Executives and employees carry more weight than the logo
A named person can carry credibility that a logo cannot. If a founder, managing director or head of a practice can post consistently about the problems your clients face, that presence gives buyers someone to recognise before the first meeting. Keep it realistic:
- Choose one or two people who will actually post.
- Give them topics and raw material (a client question, a project lesson, a regulation change), then let them write in their own voice.
- Agree internally what may be said about clients, pricing and tenders before anyone posts.
Their best posts can later be sponsored. Thought Leader Ads let you sponsor public posts from employees and other members, but only after the author approves the request. They currently support Brand awareness and Engagement objectives (and Video views for video posts), and documents, polls, multi-image posts and reposts are not eligible.
Organic content that earns a meeting
Do not plan on organic reach alone to fill a pipeline. What it does is give paid campaigns something credible to point to, and prospects a reason to accept a connection. Formats worth testing in B2B:
- Explanations of a process, requirement or decision your buyers are facing, written for the role that faces it.
- Specific lessons from delivered work, shared only with client permission.
- Short documents or carousels that a reader could forward to a colleague on the buying committee.

LinkedIn Ads: objectives and formats
Objectives
Campaign Manager groups its objectives into awareness (Brand awareness), consideration (Website visits, Engagement, Video views) and conversions (Lead generation, Website conversions, Job applicants, Talent leads). Match the objective to an action you can measure and follow up; if your website does not yet track form submissions reliably, Lead generation with native forms is the simpler start.
Formats
| Format | What it is | Where it can fit in B2B |
|---|---|---|
| Sponsored Content | Native ads in the feed: single image, carousel, video, document, event, Thought Leader and article or newsletter ads | The default for most objectives, from awareness to leads |
| Lead Gen Forms | Forms pre-filled from the member's profile, opened from an ad's call-to-action | Capturing enquiries without sending a mobile user to a slow landing page |
| Document Ads | Sponsored Content that shows a document (e-book, case study, white paper, presentation) in the feed; downloads arrive as PDF | Gating a useful guide behind a Lead Gen Form while showing a preview |
| Message Ads and Conversation Ads | Sponsored Messaging delivered in LinkedIn inboxes; message ads carry one call-to-action, conversation ads offer several buttons in a decision tree | Event invitations and direct offers to a tightly defined audience |
Lead Gen Forms carry no additional cost beyond the ad spend, and LinkedIn recommends three to four fields rather than the maximum, saying fewer fields will likely improve conversion rates. With Document Ads, a gated document needs at least one preview page, so single-page documents cannot be gated. Conversation ads are charged per send, always include a required "Not interested" button, and LinkedIn limits how often a member receives Sponsored Messaging, so the channel suits selective, high-value messages rather than volume.
Targeting: company, function and seniority
LinkedIn's targeting options cover company attributes (name, industry, size, followers), job experience (function, seniority, title, skills, years of experience), education, demographics and interests. For Riyadh B2B, three settings need care:
- Location. Choose between permanent location (from the profile), recent location (based on IP for short-term visits) or both. For a service delivered in Riyadh, permanent location is the more direct match.
- Function plus seniority rather than job title alone. LinkedIn notes that job title data is primarily entered by members, so the same role can appear under many wordings in Arabic and English. Combining a job function with seniority levels can be more robust; test titles as a separate ad set.
- Audience size. An ad set needs at least 300 member accounts. Passing that minimum does not make an audience large enough to learn from, so check the forecast.
Matched audiences: your own lists and your own visitors
Matched Audiences let you use your own data. You can upload a company or contact list, such as target accounts from your sales team, and then refine it with job function or seniority, which is the practical basis of account-based campaigns. You can also retarget people who visited your website, watched a set percentage of a video ad, opened or submitted a Lead Gen Form, engaged with your page, an event, a document ad or a conversation ad, with lookback windows of up to 365 days. LinkedIn discontinued lookalike audiences in February 2024; predictive audiences, built from your source data, are the current expansion option. Make sure any contact list you upload was collected lawfully: Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law applies to collecting and using that data, SDAIA publishes the law and its implementing regulations on its data governance platform, and you should confirm the legal basis for using each list. Our PDPL planning checklist covers the marketing side.
Tracking: Insight Tag and Conversions API
The LinkedIn Insight Tag is JavaScript on your website that enables conversion reporting and website retargeting. LinkedIn states it should not be installed on pages that collect or contain sensitive data. When you set up a conversion, you choose the click and view time frames and an attribution model, so agree these settings before launch and keep them stable between tests.
The Conversions API sends events from your server or CRM rather than the browser. That matters in B2B, because the conversion you care about (a qualified lead, a meeting, a signed deal) may happen offline, days or weeks after the click. LinkedIn deduplicates events received through both the tag and the API. You can connect through a LinkedIn marketing partner or build a direct integration; LinkedIn says a direct build takes two to four weeks on average. LinkedIn also describes the Lead generation objective as capturing qualified leads using qualified lead data shared from the Conversions API, so feeding back which leads your sales team accepted gives the campaign a better signal than raw form fills.
CRM hand-off and lead quality
A lead that waits days for a reply may have gone cold. LinkedIn lets you integrate Lead Gen Forms with CRM and marketing automation platforms so leads arrive without manual uploads; where your system is not supported, you can download leads as CSV. Either way, define the process before launch:
- Where each lead lands, tagged with its campaign, and who follows up within what time.
- What makes a lead qualified, agreed between marketing and sales in writing.
- How sales records the outcome (qualified, meeting, proposal, won, lost) and how it flows back to LinkedIn through the Conversions API.
If lead quality is weak, the cause may not be in the ad: check for a form with no qualifying question, an offer that attracts job seekers rather than buyers, or an audience defined only by broad interests.
Arabic or English: a decision, not a default
In Campaign Manager, profile language targeting works asymmetrically for most ad formats: selecting English reaches all qualifying members in your location regardless of their profile language, while selecting Arabic reaches only members whose profile language is Arabic. Sponsored Messaging (Message and Conversation Ads) is the exception: for those ad sets, every selected language, English included, must match the member's profile language. An Arabic-language ad set may therefore be considerably smaller than the English one on the same targeting. Decide by audience:
- If your buyers are senior Saudi decision makers or government-linked entities, test Arabic creative, but consider targeting with the English setting and letting the creative do the language work.
- If the audience is technical or multinational, English may carry the message, with Arabic for the page and follow-up. Run each language as its own ad set.
Whichever you choose, write the Arabic for Saudi readers rather than translating it line by line; our guide to Arabic copywriting for Saudi customers covers tone and clarity.
Measure pipeline, not clicks
Click-through rate and cost per lead describe the ad, not the business. Report the chain to revenue and judge campaigns by the later stages:
| Stage | Where the number comes from |
|---|---|
| Spend, reach, frequency, clicks | Campaign Manager |
| Leads and cost per lead | Campaign Manager and your CRM, reconciled |
| Qualified leads and cost per qualified lead | CRM, using the agreed definition |
| Meetings, proposals and pipeline value | CRM |
| Won deals and revenue by campaign | CRM and finance |
Tag every link with UTM parameters, keep campaign names identical in LinkedIn and your CRM, and allow for long sales cycles before judging. For website measurement, see our GA4 guide for lead generation websites.

Frequently asked questions
How many LinkedIn users are there in Saudi Arabia?
DataReportal's Digital 2026 report cites 12.0 million LinkedIn members in Saudi Arabia in late 2025. The figure counts registered members, not monthly active users, so it overstates the people you can realistically reach. Size your actual audience in Campaign Manager.
Should I use Lead Gen Forms or send LinkedIn traffic to my website?
Lead Gen Forms are pre-filled from the member's profile and carry no extra cost beyond ad spend, so they suit mobile users and sites without reliable form tracking. A website conversion campaign needs the Insight Tag or Conversions API set up properly. Either way, judge the result by qualified leads in your CRM.
If I choose Arabic as the targeting language, will my ads reach more Saudi decision makers?
Not necessarily. For most ad formats, selecting Arabic shows ads only to members whose profile language is Arabic, while selecting English reaches all qualifying members in the location. Sponsored Messaging is the exception: every selected language must match the member's profile language. Bilingual professionals may keep an English-language profile, so test Arabic creative with the English language setting as well as with Arabic targeting.
